"Annie," 2018. Cotton, thread, and found photographs. 48"x60.”

I found a collection of seventy old photographs ripped from the pages of a photo album. They belonged to a stranger, named Annie, and they chronicle her life from young adulthood to old age. The story they tell is both rich in detail and an irreparably incomplete. It is this tenuous relationship between what I know intimately about Annie and what I will never know that interests me in her photographs.
